Terms of Service

1. What Scout is

Scout uses AI to analyze a business idea you describe: it breaks the idea into the assumptions that must hold, researches them online and writes a report.

Reports are generated by AI and can contain errors, omissions or outdated information. They are for information only and are not investment, legal, financial, tax or other professional advice. Check the key facts yourself before making important decisions, and consult a professional where appropriate.

2. Public test

Scout is in a public test. Features, free allowances and prices may change, and the service may be interrupted or discontinued. We will try to tell you in advance.

3. Your account

• You log in with a code sent to your email; your account is created the first time you log in.
• One account per person. Do not use multiple accounts, email aliases or disposable addresses to get more free reports; different spellings of the same inbox count as one person.
• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Keep your email account secure: anyone who can receive your login codes can log in as you.

4. Pricing

• Your first three full reports per account are free. From the fourth report on, each report costs $29, once payments are available. Runs that don’t finish don’t count.
• Follow-up questions have a free allowance; once it is used up, it is used up.
• We will not charge you anything before payments are available, and we will show the price before you pay.

5. Your content

• What you submit stays yours. You confirm that you have the right to submit it: do not upload other people’s confidential material or files you are not allowed to share.
• You allow us to store and process your content to provide the service, including through the providers listed in the Privacy Policy.
• You are free to use and share the reports you get.

6. What you may not do

• Use Scout for illegal purposes, or submit illegal, infringing or harmful content;
• Try to get around free allowances, rate limits or region restrictions;
• Sign up, submit or scrape in bulk with scripts;
• Attack, disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.

If you do, we may suspend or close your account.

7. Regions

The AI models Scout relies on are only offered in certain countries and regions, so Scout is only available there. We determine your region from your IP address.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

Scout is provided as is. We do not promise that it is error-free, uninterrupted or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or incidental losses from your use of the reports or the service, and any liability we do have is limited to what you paid us in the previous 12 months.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in an important way, we will update this page and tell you in advance. Using Scout after the change takes effect means you accept the new terms.
